HOCKEY MANITOBA UPDATEs

Hockey Manitoba releases Revised Version 8 of Return to Play
plan for the 2021 - 2022 season

Hockey Manitoba has released a Revised Version 8 of our Return to Play plan, which includes important changes as it relates to spectators and communications officers.

Spectators

Based on the province's Public Health Ordersthat took effect on Friday September 3, 2021, spectators between the age of 12 years old and 17 years old are required to show that they are fully immunized to attend a ticketed Hockey Manitoba/Hockey Canada sanctioned program/event in Manitoba. A ticketed event is any event that requires paid admission at the gate.

Spectators that are under the age of 18 years old do not have to be fully immunized to attend a non-ticketed Hockey Manitoba/Hockey Canada sanctioned program/event in Manitoba but must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult (18 years of age and older).

Communications Officers

This season, communications officers will not be responsible for tracking players/coaches/parents in the facility/arena during practices and games.

Communications officers will be responsible for monitoring all relevant updates from the public health authority and Hockey Manitoba, ensuring teams are following the Return to Play guidelines set by Hockey Manitoba, and ensuring any COVID-19 cases are reported as required by the provincial health authority.

As new information becomes available, we will make sure our Members and the hockey community are informed.
